Pulp Log

Our pulp logs consist of an average top size of 30cm. We pride ourselves in producing a high quality log in the forest while extracting excessive defect. Many of our pulp logs can be sawn for clears as normally the defect is in the core of the log. Our pulp conversion average is 1 tonne per cubic meter. With the cold climate in NorthWest British Columbia this tree species makes excellent chip fibres. We are poised to convert from shipping pulp logs to shipping chips within a year of establishing a long-term agreement. This is an exciting opportunity that will bring many benefits to our clients. By reducing the amount of waste material such as bark and decay, which is often associated with tradition whole log shipping, long distance shipping costs are decreased dramatically. Because each customer’s requirements are different, we will have the ability to manufacture more than one chip profile. This will allow us to provide a superior product while passing some of the cost benefits on to the customer.

Sawlogs

Our Hem-Fir sawlogs are second to no one for physical strength, tight grain and beautiful appearance. Since the cold season is slow only the hearty trees survive. Many trees have 16 to 20 grains per inch. Usually these are the trees that have small knots to withstand snow loads. Our top size is 15 cm with a maximum tree around 100 cm with an average of 50cm butts.
